My name is Mrs Gemma Gibbon, I am a qualified Child Psychologist with a Bsc in Psychology and Counselling and a Msc in the Psychology of Child Development, specialising in Art Therapy.

Born and educated in London, England I have recently relocated to Kingston, Jamaica with my family.

I gained a bachelors in psychology and counselling in London in the 90's and wasn't quite sure what to do with it, after a long time in education I thought I would gain some life experience and got a job travelling the world with a Tour Operator.

I had been all over the world and experienced different races, cultures, creeds and countries and it enriched my life greatly. But what I found when working in these countries was that while the tourists stayed in their luxurious resorts literally next door the real people lived in poverty and what struck me was how the children coped and still managed to enjoy life in their hardship.

I realised then that I wanted to help children and when I came back to England I decided to continue my education in the Psychology of Child Development specialising in Art Therapy and then taking my skills to countries where my expertise wasn't readily available.

During my studying I met my husband who is Jamaican and I couldn't think of a more worthy country where I could try and make it a better place for the children. So here I am.
